The Scriptures currently depicts Christ at the right hand of GOD in Heaven ...
him being seated on David's throne is still a future event.
(Psa 110:1-2) A Psalm of David. YAHWEH said unto my lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. 2 YAHWEH shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
Jesus IS 'The lord' whom YAHWEH
said ought to sit at His right hand.
He will continue to sit at the right hand of Power until all his enemies are subdued and destroyed.
During this period, GOD proclaims that this 'lord' will rule in the very midst of his enemies.
Thus, the 'lord' Jesus is NOT
going to remain in Heaven forever! He will return to sit on the throne of
David.
Hence, Peter informs us that ...
(Acts 3:20-21) And he [GOD] shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21 Whom the heaven must receive/retain UNTIL the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
The keyword is UNTIL
Therefore Jesus is CURRENTLY in Heaven;
however, the fulfillment of
Jesus is yet to be enthroned on the throne of David his father/ancestor.
(Rev 3:21) {FUTURE} To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as {PRESENT} I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Get it? Jesus is currently according to his own words, set down in his Father's throne.
HE IS NOT CURRENTLY SEATED ON HIS OWN THRONE!!!
That is yet future!
What then is his own throne? What throne is promised to the Son of GOD? What did Jesus mean by
"in my throne" as opposed to "with my Father in his throne"? [Rev 3:21]
- (2 Sam 7:13-14) ... I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever. 14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son.....
- (Isa 9:7) Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of YAHWEH of hosts will perform this.
- (Psa 132:11) YAHWEH hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not
turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will
I set upon thy throne. - (Luke 1:32-33) He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and YAHWEH God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
- (Psa 89:4) Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.
- (Psa 89:29) His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven
- (Isa 16:5) And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.
- (Jer 33:15-17) In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land. 16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, YAHWEH our righteousness. 17 For thus saith YAHWEH; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;
The throne promised to the Messiah is THE THRONE OF DAVID, THE THRONE
OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL/JUDAH
In Rev 3:21, did Jesus say he was
CURRENTLY seated ON HIS OWN THRONE? NO!!
When did he say that those
who overcame will be seated with him and will reign with him?
Answer: When
Jesus is HIMSELF seated in HIS THRONE OF GLORY.
WHEN THEN
DOES JESUS SIT IN HIS THRONE? DOES CHRIST TELL US?
(Mat
25:31) WHEN
the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, THEN
shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
(Mat
19:28) And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have
followed me, in the regeneration WHEN the
Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also
shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. ...
In fulfillment of Rev 3:21
(Luke 19:11-12) And as they heard these
things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to
Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should
immediately appear. 12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman [JESUS]
went into a far country [HEAVEN] to receive for himself a kingdom [DAN
7:13-14], and
to return.(Luke 19:15-17) And it
came to pass, that WHEN he was
returned, having received the kingdom, THEN he commanded these servants to
be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much
every man had gained by trading. 16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound
hath gained ten pounds. 17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant:
because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority
over ten cities.
Get it?
It is at his Return, at his
Coming, at his Parousia, AND NOT BEFORE ...
- IT IS THEN THAT ...
Jesus the Messiah will sit upon the Davidic throne of his glory; this will be the MESSIAH'S OWN THRONE, in fulfillment of the promise/covenant that GOD made to David his ancestor/father. - It is THEN that the Davidic Kingdom of
GOD would have come.
[Mark 11:10, Acts 1:6-7] - It is THEN that Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and all the patriarchs will inherit the kingdom, the land of promise, the heavenly country, and settle in the city having foundations [Heb 11:9-16, Matt 8:11, Luke 13:28-29], as promised them by GOD.
- It is THEN that the twelve apostles will reign with Christ. (Compare Psalms 122:5)
- It is THEN that ALL who have overcome, ALL who have suffered for Christ, ALL the saints shall co-reign and co-rule with Christ upon the earth [Rev 5:9-10, 11:15; 2 Tim 2:12] and be rewarded accordingly;
- It is THEN that the meek shall inherit the earth. [Matt 5:5]
- IT is THEN that the saints shall
inherit the Kingdom of GOD!!
Let us return to the Apostolic Gospel of the Kingdom.
This was John the Baptist's Gospel.
This was Jesus' Gospel. This was the
Apostles' Gospel.
The Kingdom of GOD is 'the Glory' promised to the Messiah.
Jesus will be enthroned on his own throne of glory at his Parousia according to the Scriptures.
When does YAHWEH causes the Messiah to rule in the midst of his enemies and when does YAHWEH strike through the kings? In the Day of His Wrath AKA the Day of YAHWEH AKA the Day of the Lord AKA the Day of Christ which commences at the Parousia of Christ AND NOT BEFORE!!!
Where does YAHWEH send His rod of strength out of?
ZION i.e. JERUSALEM ... GEOGRAPHICAL ZION/JERUSALEM
Scripturally, where was (and therefore, WHERE WILL BE THE LOCATION OF) the throne of David?
- (2 Sam 5:6-7) And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: ... 7 Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.
- (2 Sam 5:9) So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. ...
- (1 Chr 11:5) And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, Thou shalt not come hither. Nevertheless David took the castle of Zion, which is the city of David.
- (1 Chr 11:7) And David dwelt in the castle; therefore they called it the city of David.
- (1 Ki 2:10-12) So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David. 11 And the days that David reigned over Israel were forty years: seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem. 12 Then sat Solomon upon the throne of David his father; and his kingdom was established greatly.
- (1 Chr 28:5) And of all my sons, (for YAHWEH hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of YAHWEH over Israel.
- (1 Chr 29:22-23) And did eat and drink before YAHWEH on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto YAHWEH to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest. 23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of YAHWEH as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.
- (1 Ki 8:1, 2 Chr 5:2) ... the city of David, which is Zion.
- (1 Ki 11:13) Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen.
- (1 Ki 11:32) (But he shall have one tribe for my servant David's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel:)
- (Jer 13:13) Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith YAHWEH, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David's throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, ...
THEREFORE ....
- (Psa 2:6) Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
- (Psa 48:2) Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
- (Mat 5:35) Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
- (Psa 132:11-13) YAHWEH hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne. 12 If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore. 13 For YAHWEH hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.
- (Jer 3:17) At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of YAHWEH; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of YAHWEH, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.
- (Oba 1:21) And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be YAHWEH'S.
- (Micah 4:2) And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of YAHWEH, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of YAHWEH from Jerusalem. (Compare Psalms 110:2)
(Luke 1:32-33) He shall be great, and shall be called the
Son of the Highest: and YAHWEH God shall give unto him the throne of his
father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his
kingdom there shall be no end.
When these words were
uttered by Gabriel, the angel of YAHWEH, to Mary, the mother of Jesus;
she
would have had no concept that David's throne will be located some place
in Heaven ... she would have had no concept that David's throne will NOT be in
geographical Jerusalem, upon mount ZION! NO! Mary, Jesus himself, the
apostles, and every 1st-century Christian would have understood that one day, GOD
will send Jesus [Acts 3:21] and at his coming Jesus will sit upon the throne of
David in Jerusalem, in Zion, here on the earth; all things THEN will be restored! The world i.e.
this planet, this planet Earth, will THEN be regenerated!
In
fulfillment of Psalms 2:6, 132:11, Jere 23:5-6, 33:15-17, Ezek 21:27, Rev 5:9-10
and Psalms 110:2,5,6; the Messiah will be enthroned on the
throne of David in Jerusalem in the day of YAHWEH, and it is from there, that he
shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land and Judah shall be
saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely.
ALL THE PROPHETS SPOKE OF
THIS TIME!
DO WE BELIEVE ALL THAT THE PROPHETS HAVE SPOKEN? [Luke 24:25, Acts
26:27]
