Shalom! My name is Adam Pastor

Welcome to ADONI MESSIAH which means
"My Lord Messiah" -
a fitting epithet to who Jesus (or Yeshua) is!

Here, I attempt to present the Apostolic Truths according to the Scriptures, that there is
One GOD, the Father, namely, YAHWEH,
and One Lord, GOD's only begotten Son,
Yeshua the Messiah.

And that one day YAHWEH will send His Son back to Earth to inaugurate the Everlasting Kingdom of GOD

Enjoy!

The LORD Said Unto My Lord… by Bob Shutes

The LORD Said Unto My Lord…

Has Psalm 110 Been Hacked?

Psalm 110 is a familiar but poorly understood scripture about the coming Messiah, and  Trinitarian commentators have had a field day with its meaning. Jesus himself quoted it to confound and silence his opponents. (Luke 20:42-44)  Here’s how it reads in our English Bibles,
“The LORD said unto my Lord, sit thou at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool.”  (Psalm 110)
In Hebrew it reads “YHWH said to Adoni…”  translated “Adonai said to Adoni….”  Our English translations replace YHWH and Adonai with “LORD” and replace  Adoni with “my Lord”. This might have pleased them but it doesn’t really give the reader a good idea of what is going on in this verse. We wonder, has Psalm 110 been hacked?  Let’s take a minute and sort it out.

Adonai is Used Exclusively for God the Father

The conversation in Psalm 110 is between two distinct beings. One Being is God the Father and the other is His Christ. One Being is divine and the other is human. There is no question or debate that YHWH applies exclusively to God the Father. Likewise Adonai is used exclusively for God the Father. So far so good.

Adoni is Used for Human Superiors

There is another word, however, that describes human lords and superiors. It is the word Adoni and it is never used to describe God Himself. Understanding the distinction between Adonai and Adoni will help you make good Biblical sense out of the phrase “The LORD said to my lord”. This is not complicated but it is important! The man Jesus Christ is our Adoni but He is not Adonai. He is our 'lord' but he is not LORD (YHWH).
What emerges from this is a clear understanding that Jesus Christ, the Son of God is a man. Our Savior came in flesh and he is one of us.
Jesus is God’s Anointed One and God’s only begotten Son, the Christ. He is our Brother and Master and Lord but
he is not God.

Psalm 110 Reveals the Mystery of God and Christ

Jesus never claimed to be God but he did claim to be the Christ. Psalm 110 reveals the Mystery of God and Christ.
“For us there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.” (I Timothy 2:5)
We don’t have to resort to the tortured logic of trinitarian philosophy to make sense of this!
We honor and exalt Jesus as God’s unique agent on our behalf and for what he has done for us.
“For God has made him both Lord and Christ”. (Acts 2:36)
“For us there is only one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we are for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ…” (I Cor 8:6)
Well there you have it. Psalm 110 sheds light on the mystery of God and Christ,
Jesus is not God, Jesus is Lord!

PS:  God surely intended for us understand His word. This seems at odds with the work of many theologians and translators but we are convinced God will eventually have His way! If this post has helped you see things more clearly please share it with a few friends.
God Bless.

The Man Christ Jesus by Bob Shutes

The Man Christ Jesus

If Jesus Isn’t God….

“If Jesus isn’t God…. is he just a man?” The Trinitarian view of God insists that Jesus is a divine “person” who has existed from all eternity. We think this idea rules out any chance of him being truly human like the rest of us. (I haven’t existed from eternity and none of my friends have either). We are saying that “There is one God and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.” (I Timothy 2:5-6) Our mortal lives begin at birth and end at death. If Jesus was truly one of us he should have followed the same pattern… and he did! His  mortal life began with his birth in Bethlehem and ended when he was crucified on Calvary. Jesus then [was given] a gloriously new pattern of life and death when [God raised him] from the dead. Now he invites us to share in his immortality!

Jesus Christ is Unique Among Men

Skeptics dismiss Christian belief by saying, “The Bible is just a book filled with myths and stories that aren’t really true.”  Most Christians believe that although the Bible is indeed a book it is much more than “just a  book”. Calling the Bible “just a book” implies that the Bible is simply one book among many and no different than all the rest. We affirm that the Bible is indeed a book, but not just a book! It is a unique book, in a class by itself and distinct from all others… and we can say the very same thing about our Savior. Jesus Christ is unique among men. He is in a class by himself; sinless, perfect and distinct from all others… but he is still thoroughly and completely a man. He was most definitely one of us but he is not just a man”.

Jesus is the Christ of God, the Anointed One

Jesus Christ is the miraculously begotten Son of God. The Father called him “My Beloved Son”. He is the Lamb of God and the Light of the World.  No other man “ever spake like this man!” Who else has raised the dead, walked on water and stilled a tempest with a spoken word? Jesus is the Bread of Life and he alone is the Way, the Truth and the Life. We know him as the Good Shepherd, our High Priest and the Great Physician. Jesus Christ is our Savior, Kinsman Redeemer and Judge and yes… He was a man, a perfect man to be sure! But fortunately for us he was not “just a man”
Jesus is the Christ of God, the Anointed One, the Messiah and our Brother.

God is Not a Man by Bob Shutes

God is Not a Man

God is not a man that He should lie, neither the son of man that He should repent.” (Numbers 23:19). This plain spoken scripture  actually contradicts some important dogmas about the trinity! (The church fathers insist that Jesus is God.) It contains a heretical thought and we wonder how trinitarian scholars have managed to ignore it for so long. What was YAHWEH thinking when He inspired these words? If God was a man this is exactly the kind of talk that would have gotten Him excommunicated! It seems to us God knew full well this verse wouldn’t harmonize with the doctrine of the trinity… but He included it in the scripture anyway.

Jesus Said “I Am a Man”

Jesus claimed to be a man. “I am a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God, but now you want to kill me.” (John 8:40) He told the truth when he said he was a man and he told the truth when he declared that his accusers wanted to kill him.  Jesus was born into the world like all men, but God is eternal and was never born. Christ was tempted like all men, but God cannot be tempted.  Finally, Jesus died like all men but God cannot die. It’s clear in the scripture that Jesus claimed to be Christ, the Son of God, but he never claimed to be God Himself.
The question we ask is this: Was Jesus God or was he a man?

By One Man’s Obedience

The Apostle Peter preached on the day of Pentecost and called Jesus “a man approved of God among you.” (Acts 2:22) The Apostle Paul declared “There is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (I Timothy 2:5) In another place the Bible declares “By one man’s (Adam’s) disobedience many were made sinners, so by one man’s obedience many will be made righteous.” (Romans 5:19) It isn’t controversial to say that Jesus was a man, it is simply Biblical. What is truly controversial and unbiblical is the claim that Jesus was God! The overwhelming testimony of scripture is that Jesus was a manHe was one of us. The fact that Christ spoke and acted as only God could speak and act is easily explained by the doctrine of Biblical Agency.

No Man Has Seen God at Any Time

“No man has seen God at any time” (I John 4:12).  “But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels…” (Hebrews 2:9) In Jesus we see “the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.” (Colossians 1:15) Jesus is the image of the invisible God but he is not God, he is the Son of God and men have seen him. Wise men saw him in Bethlehem’s manger. Doctors of the Law saw him in Jerusalem’s temple and the people of Israel saw him on Calvary’s cross. ... Someday everyone will see him and “every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord
to the glory of God the Father
” (Philippians 2:11)

PS: We confess that Jesus is the visibly human son of the invisible God. He was crucified, resurrected and glorified and now sits at the right hand of God. He is exalted above all creation and has a name above every name… yet for all that Jesus is a man and He is not God. This dear friend is the message of the Bible.
